Why you should read this …
The idea for this fic is ingenious and given the personification of death in both series, extremely apt. Death’s voice in this fic is so reminiscent of the Book Thief (but you could argue that it fits Thanatos, too, since we do see just a bit of his characterisation in SoN). I love the portrayal of Hazel and the references to the other demigods in the cast as well. It all keeps in character with Death, but the series characters are all rendered well through his eyes. This is beautiful writing and one of those fics that really sticks with you.
