The summary combined with the author’s note for this fic already did me in, and the story certainly lived up to its promise. It took the little loose ends we were left with at the end of HoO regarding the sacrifices of some beloved characters and the promises that were made to remember them, and extrapolated beautifully to a scene that was exquisitely heart-rending and very true to all three characters involved. This presents a view of Percy, Annabeth, and Jason that reminded me why I fell in love with the former two and made me like the latter a lot more than I initially did.
