I just looked at the guest list for Auckland Armageddon. I am totally thinking about coming up.

I keep forgetting to check who else is coming! Though I am super excited about Mark Sheppard. :DDD Keep us in the loop if you do decide, yeah?

Mark Sheppard! I'm kind of embarrassed to say this but it was Nicholas Brendon and Kelly Donovan that got me interested. I hear Nicholas Brendon is actually kind of a jackass IRL? But it's Xander! Xander.

ASB Showgrounds... is that way out in the burbs? I need to do some research. If I do come up I'll probably stay at my sister's place, do you remember going there? I'm jsut wondering how much of an impossible logistical undertaking this will be.

I am also pretty stoked abotu Nicholas Brendon and am hoping he'll be a good guy.

And nope, it's the buildings right next to the Alexandra Park raceway - just across the road from One Tree Hill/National Women's Hospital, if that helps you? So there are buses from near your sister's place, although I'm not sure how close they go. Definitely along the main road, though, so it'll be anything from a 10m to perhaps a 600m walk from a bus stop to the doors. (I realise one of those is infinitely preferable... :/ )

I'm basically getting like two minutes of streaming video and then i have to kick the balloons again, and then i read the internet, and then more streaming video. IT'S GREAT. :D Also balloon hot potato (previous flat favourite) is a great game, but multi-layered hanging balloons seem as if they are going to be a noble challenge to the title of Best Time Waster (Non Flash Game entrants). :D

balloons are fun. and keeping them inside to not just drift off into the world means my greenie conscience can rest easy! :P

i like the 'sun dipped' look with dye where you do the bottom chunk all around. :)

Exactly! Ugh, I was so not okay with the balloons outside at U2 in Auckland last year. :/ There is a reason I rolled with glowsticks instead!

Ooh, that's a good idea. And also easier to chop out if the bleach feel drives me nuts... ty, bb! (You will probably appreciate this: I'm going to be a runner/general dogsbody for the cosplay on the last day of the con, and so I'm going to try and dress up as Tonks just so I don't stick out too badly. *g* But will also still be able to move easily!)

I am all in favor of bleaching and dying chunks of hair. My formerly blue streaks are now purple and I love them a lot. The beauty of bleaching pieces is that you can keep changing the color as it washes out, or redoing it in the same color. We've now redyed Tom's teal streak 3 times, and she still loves it.

Ooh, that is super helpful to know -- I actually got the idea from you guys, and I'm really glad to hear that it's working out so well for you. <333
