Oh my god, you guys, you guys that was so awesome. Joe pretended to deep throat a glowstick. Pete made that's what she said jokes and Patrick mocked him for it, and then went on to claim that he couldn't emigrate here even though he wants to because they require that he have some sort of "skill to contribute to society" (I appreciate that he ( Read more... )

Totally! And isn't it just?? :D

He was so cuuuuuuuuuuuute. Pete was baiting him and all "so, what do you like better, Mad Max or... Lord of the Rings?" (and B and I were, I think I can safely assume, both thinking "Pete Wentz you nerd, we know you were making fun of NZ in Australia just yesterday!") and then Patrick was all "...I actually really don't like Mad Max at all. I don't think I can say why on stage, though." HEEEEEE. Also he was wearing the 504 plan hat again. MAYBE I DID PAUL GROSS ARMS. :D

I still think somebody should write epic fic where Jwalk and Patrick develop crushes on each other when they are just baby bands and then their love develops into an epic romance and Patrick wears his 504plan hat whenever he misses his One True Love.

...oh damn you for knowing my weaknesses, I would read that SO HARD. And, hey, arguably it's still bassist/drummer fic! So it fits my usual OTP paradigm! :D <333333333

OHGOD it bugs the shit out of me when people on the rail try to shove you over for a better spot. Dude, we're all up front, ideally we all spent about the same amount of time waiting since the asscrack of dawn, fucking deal with it. ...that doesn't mean that I don't take advantage of people shuffling sideways if it means better Ronnie Viewing, but that's stepping into space they've abandoned.

It's like a fucking military invasion getting into the pit. Wait wait plot wait plot RUN RUN RUN GO GO GO GRAB HOLDGROUND!!!

Dude, the worst part was - they were pushing AWAY from the centre of stage, and we were already stage right enough that the girl next to me was the only other one without an occluded view, so I was kind of like "fuck you, people who can't work out basic physics, I'm not letting you screw everyone further down the rail over as well." Heh. And yeah, abandoned/undefended to the point of stupidity space is a completely different kettle of fish!

I have to give security props this time, though - they still made us do the fucking stupid sit down in front of the barrier thing (but thank god not 2m back like in Melbourne last year) but they actually managed to stop people running onto the floor so the slam of hatred didn't happen so badly. And we saw two girls get kicked out (or at the very least let in last, but I'm pretty sure it was a kick out) for running to the rail in Sydney, which was totally awesome. It pisses me off when they threaten stuff and don't follow through.

...oh, that's because the first time we had a post-concert OH SHIT WHY IS THERE TRAFFIC COMING STRAIGHT TOWARDS US?? FUCK IT'S A ONE WAY STREET! experience it was in SLC after the Honda Civic tour show there. I still firmly maintain that the intersection was not signposted in the least nor was it well lit enough to tell until it was too late.
