It's entirely possible I may have enjoyed that too much.

Just got home from spending a ridiculous amount of time in town mooching around. I took a massive pile of stuff in to Real Groovy to trade in, and to my everlasting joy, they actually took five seasons of Buffy off my hands. \o/!!! ( Blah blah music store geeking and general purring over loot. )

melissa, music, birthdays, vinyl

You are far too kind, sweetie. *hugs* I may be a little misty but I'm sure it's allergies ;)

Love you *smooch*

*Late comment-whoops*

As a fellow vinyl junkie I find the quickest, easiest and by far the cheapest way to get vinyl copies of what you want arriving on your door step is to order them off the record label or band websites directly. Given how high our dollar is, the relatively cheap price for vinyl over there and the cutting out of middlemen I can usually get whatever i want for about $20 US dollars including shipping which is what like $26NZ at the mo?

Vinyl sound mmmmmmmm. We have huge old floor speakers and a proper amp and turntable set up(no, i refuse to disclose how much this cost us ;)and its amazing to watch the reaction of people who refused to believe dusty old vinyl can sound better than their precious cds or ipods.

If I see another cheap One Tree Hill 7inch down here with a sleeve i'll grab it for you :)

In conclusion, beware of the hoodies ;)

No worries!

And, oh, yes, exactly, I tend to do that a lot myself, I am just getting smote mightily on the MCR thing because the stupid fricking Warners website won't ship to NZ at all. Fuckers! So I'm gonna get one of my Americans to pick that up and mail it to me instead, yeah. Mostly I just pick over RG for the cheap/random stuff (still kicking myself for not getting the Gremlins soundtrack for $1 a few years ago, it was a cool coloured vinyl but I couldn't be arsed carrying it home, heh). And ohhh, niiiiiiiiiiiiice. Mmmm. I only have pretty basic AIWA speakers, but my turntable is veeeeeery beloved.

And ooh, ta muchly, that'd be appreciated if you do. Just let me know and I can pay you back and all, obviously. That's one thing i suspect would end up ridiculously far more overpriced overseas than over here! :D

Majors suck! I'm lucky I usually don't have to deal with them. That's weird about Warners though because I was sure my mate here pre-ordered the new REM from them.

RG is good for browsing and cheap/random stuff.

I definitely will. Have you seen how much those things go for on ebay so yeah NZ 7inch bins are the way to go :)

Yeah, I could've sworn their REM side seems to work, and I'm wondering if it was JUST the vinyl, cos I've definitely seen some sites in the past that are all twitchy about vinyl when other stuff going overseas is okay. WEIRD.

So true! Although I must admit I piked out on the 33s in the bins in the basement this time because I was by myself and it is apparently WAY less fun to go through about forty bins by yourself when you're NOT skipping a chem lab to do it. :D

Yiiiiiiiikes, yes, exactly.
