A long long time ago, I hired a couple of people to move some furniture for me, and they turned out to be maths students (a boy and a girl) who painstakingly worked out rotational angles and leverage and stuff, and slowly slowly carefully slowly manoeuvred the furniture into my flat. Heh.

It's so weirdly satisfying! I can't explain it. Though probably volunteering the information that I was in the school's first BP Challenge (ie, 12 year olds pretending to be MacGuyver) team says it all. :D

And yay for smartness and all, but I hope they didn't end up taking aeons to do it...

well, i'm not sure if it's possible NOT to like them if your sense of humour tends even slightly to *waves hands demonstratively to demonstrate*. i am biased though. the only thing i missed about my - now long departed - ex from about day 3 onwards was that he kept my !@*^ing season one dvd. BASTARD!

this is SO TRUE. hrm. and, oh, dude. that is bastardly beyond comprehension! and, of course, it's the ONLY season i don't have a spare DVD of or I would just give you mind. i do have a VHS that i never use (because I bought the three disc 'complete series' set) which is, of course, no good to the Yanks for pimping, so if you would like it it's totally all yours. (it might kick my ass into sending the parcels i was meant to. in September. um.)
