So my throat was a little sore/ticklish at the end of last week and this weekend, but nothing too major. Tuesday I lost my voice, and have been struggling to get it back ever since. Went to the doctor today after having a crying fit at work (I was tired, low blood sugar and I am sick, and I lost it), and was told I probably should see an ENT. He ( Read more... )

I hope you get it figured out - maybe it will just clear up on it's own? Also - REST! and TEA! But I'm sure you knew that. :-)

Hang in there! I hope you recover soon. Preferably before any cameras have to go down your throat. I used to lose my voice every summer or two, working with kids -- it happens. So I'm crossing my fingers that it's nothing more serious the matter. Love you lots!

OH laryngitis. Take all the meds and talk as little as possible! It needs the rest. Also, I never realized how much teachers rely on using our voices (and not just for English pronunciation), until I lost mine for a bit.

Don't feel guilty for resting. You NEED it. Plus, it will give the kids and staff time to miss and appreciate the work you do!
