Characters: Misaki, Jack, and Ianto
Location: The Hub/an abandoned subway station under Tokyo
Time: Some time after Jack's truth gas post and Ianto's discovery that Cardiff can has an Empire State Building.
Summary: While investigating possible Contractor hideouts, Misaki stumbles across Ianto and Jack being idiots.

Ianto watched the monitor carefully, torn between going down there to work out what was going on or staying where he was.

Right now the first one was pretty tempting. He knew his reality was starting to merge with hers, and it was entirely possible hers was partially merged with Jack's too. But whilst Jack had lowered his weapon Misaki hadn't shown any sign of doing the same. He knew first hand how frustrating Jack could be, but he couldn't see Misaki pointing a gun at Jack. Especially not when he wasn't retaliating.

She wanted to believe it was him, that this wasn't a trick, that she wasn't alone in an occupied base with the gang that had killed her before. Her jaw clenched.

"Throw me your goddamn gun before I repaint the wall with your gray matter."

Jack wasn't even bothering to look at her anymore, just continued to slouch on the couch. He vaguely considered doing as Misaki said and simply handing her his gun, but decided against. It wasn't that he didn't trust her or anything like that, he just didn't feel like dealing with this type of thing at the moment. Even Jack had his limit.

"No, I feel like actually keeping this gun. And you're more than welcome to shoot, but I'm not going to be the one who cleans the blood from the sofa" Then, in a slightly louder voice. "Ianto, let me into my office already! I'll just ignore you and curl up on the sofa if you want, but I want to sleep!"

Suddenly Ianto didn't feel quite so concerned. Jack was currently being held at gunpoint, and all he cared about was getting back in his office. Ianto knew Jack was just as pissed of at him, and was fairly sure once he let Jack back in he'd be out of a room.

"I've told you; later! I'm busy."

The sound of Ianto's phantom voice from behind the closed door was too much after the long, dark walk and the suspicion that this man, who she considered a friend, was being used as a skin by someone else. She fired off a shot, taking a chunk from the wall above his head.

"Stop it. Stop this right now and give me that weapon."
