looking for advice

I've been researching HDTVs for the past several months, trying to decide which one to buy. I've discovered several decent models in my price range. However, I'm having difficulty deciding between plasma and LCD, as both seem to have pros and cons ( Read more... )

LCD
+ much lighter (won't break your table or wall)
+ less expensive

Those were my considerations. But since I don't have a plasma, I can't judge whether it was the right call. I like my LCDs quite a bit. But I am still laboring with pre-HD service.

We have a 42 inch samsung LCD and I have no complaints. I've watched football and had no problems with blur and have no complaints about the picture quality when I have an HD signal.

I've been very happy with our LCD and haven't seen much motion blur. The deciding factor for me was that LCD appears to be much brighter in a sunlit room... which our TV room is. Pretty happy with that purchase, all things considered.

I've been doing research on this stuff recently, and according to CNet, burn-in is much less of a consideration with modern plasmas than with older screens.
