you know, i am not a huge fan of paesano's. but i went there to eat last night because i was craving pasta, and it is walking distance to my work. i got the special and it was pretty much the most delicious thing i have ever eaten there. spinach, fresh tomatoes, bacon, carmelized onions all in a garlic cream sauce and covered with feta cheese. it

it used to be kinda cheap, now it's a little more pricey.
i love paesanos...and i don't know why either.
if you pick the right thing, it's excellent...pick the "wrong" thing or experiment, you may be disapointed...

Plascencia tried so hard to get that book published. no one wanted to publish it. the McSweeney's people loved it and pushed it through their own publishing house in the end.

have you read anything by David Mitchell? he likes to weave seperate narratives together. I think you would love Ghostwritten. Same vein as Murakami and Jonathan Carroll and all those people who mix reality and dreams/fantasy together so well.
