But pretty much a big 'Yeah, I agree' on this whole post.
Hagrid appearing in the forest felt so random, it took me a few moments to remember why and how he got there.
The whole theatre laughed and cringed at the same time during the epilouge. I honestly thought/hoped they weren't gonna put it in the movie. It just felt ridiculous. Especially after the amazing shot of the three of them, holding hands on the amost ruined bridge, looking into the future with hogwarts in the background.
I agree about the trios acting Dan nearly made me cry in the forrest and then in that scene where Ron is encouraging Harry to look inside Voldermmort I thought Dan and Rupert were brilliant.
The death's felt meh to me too and I expected to be sobbing over Fred.
Neville & McGonagal were AWESOME!! I cheered for both of them.
I thought the Neville/Luna part was adorable too.
And I actually felt more for Snape from the movie scenes than I did in the book.
Everything you said! Including the not-so popular opinion of HATING the epilogue. And the gratuitous deaths Rowling just sort of threw in there. I did, as you, enjoy the movie a WHOLE LOT. And cried ALL THE TEARS IN THE WORLD. I am SO glad my friend and I brought kleenex, because we used a whole lot of it.
We went to the midnight showing and everyone was cheering for Molly even before she got the whole line out. And Neville, when he first showed up and when he killed the snake.
Now I need to go satisfy all my fannish urges and read everything in the world.
I still firmly believe the epilogue was JKR's attempt to piss off the fanfic authors out there, and I don't see why they had to put it in since the trio holding hands was the perfect ending. Neville was so many kinds of awesome words can not describe. I loved almost everything......almost
Neville/Luna made me so happy! :D ♥ And Neville in general; he was awesome!
There were a lot of awesome moments where our theater broke out into applause too ("not my daughter, you bitch!" and basically anything with McGonagall). That is definitely part of the fun of seeing it in the theater with other fans.
I was totally in tears the last third of the movie as well. I'm really glad I brought along a sweatshirt because I ended up just balling it up and sobbing into it. haha xD
