I wanted to take a minute to pimp the comm ficfinishing. I've only just joined, but it seems like it's one of the better of it's kind. You can sign up to finish a fic or to be a first reader for a fic. It's worth checking out. They have a lot of fandoms

Grave of the Fireflies was one of the most painful, brutal war films I have ever watched. I think it comes joint top with Dancer in the Dark for quantity of tears, volume of sobs and redness of eyes.

Oh, I should have said. You can sign up Kane RPS fics on ficfinishing like the roommate fic because all RPS fics about Christian Kane fall under CWRPS network fics (He was on Angel). So go wild, and hopefully we'll get Kane RPS added sometime. Because I definitely think its the better of the writer motivating comms. I'll see you when this rounds starts!!!

Ah, I didn't think of Angel being a CW show. If I'd know that I'd have gone with The Roommate. I've already signed up with the Leverage fic, so I'll stick with that for now. I'll try to wrangle The Roommate eventually. And next round, I'll sign up one of my Big Bangs. :D The werewolf fic is the furthest along, but I've got a muse right now for the western.

Sorry it just didn't occur to me. My first fic with ficfinishing was J2 and Kane RPS so I used CWRPS and then I switch to just Kane and still used CWRPS so I just forgot it's been a long time since ANgel was on the CW ;) Sometimes by getting motivated for the fic you signed up for, the motivation bleeds into other fics too though :) And next time you can sign up for more I believe

Well, Jensen needs to cooperate, I think. He keeps butting into the conversation, even though Beth can't hear him. How can poor Chris angst if he has to interpret everything for Beth? *shakes head disdainfully*

Original character - great challenge :D I wrote a post-Serenity tale in which at the end, River badgered Mal into taking on two new crew members to fill the void, one of whom was a chef, just like he'd mentioned having in the pilot.
Dollhouse has loads of room for additional actives/handlers. Angel has scope for all sorts of clients, demons, and of course, demon hunters. Maybe you could create a Kane character for one of the other Whedon shows :D I'd love to see what you do with the prompt once the challenge is over.

Thank you so much for the pointer to the ficfinishing comm. I have a help_pakistan fic that is so woefully late I'm ashamed to admit to it. My own fault- I got blocked, we moved and then the boy child came along and ate my life. But he starts day care on Tuesday so I'll have some child-free time this month before I go back to work next month and it's really do-or-die time for the fic. I think the comm will really help keep me honest - thanks again!
