A version of this has been floating around on Tumblr. I'm posting it here, though. I'm doing Leverage. Shocked?

Favorite Character: Eliot, though I love the whole cast

Least Favorite Character: The Italian

Character I Love That Others Don't: Tara. I know a lot of people don't like her, but I think she's fantastic. And I totally love the ( Read more... )

I like Tara, too. I don't think it reflected on how much I wanted Sophie back, because I enjoyed Tara's dynamic with the team as the season went on.

I think John Rogers vowed Tara would be back for an episode this season... Anything else I say would be a spoiler.

I'm with you all on the third wheel issue, too. I hated the way they ended 'The Reunion Job', because of that. I like the Family Dynamic better in the show, as you say fanfiction can go in any direction and be appealing. Tho I think there are so many great characters in Leverage, with all the reaccuring characters, that I'm not big on OC's, except in the job sense. My loss, I realize.

Well, I am a day behind everyone, but it's 5:45 AM here, so even my insomnia is packing it in!

'Night for now.

I'm already spoiled. :D

I'm with you on the matter of OCs. I posted a rant on them a few months ago. I think they have their place if they're added to move the story along, but I don't read stories that feature an OC as a pairing. There are SO many characters on Leverage that we have a bountiful supply of pairing material for fic. :D

The episodes that really convinced me of the OMGNO! aspect of the Parker/Hardison relationship were "The Reunion Job" and "The Double Blind Job." The latter episode is the only episode I've never seen a second time. I never want to see jealous!Parker again *shudder* I posted a rant about that, too, lol.

While fic-wise I ship Parker/Hardison and Parker/Eliot/Hardison, canon wise I think it ought to be left alone for the reason you mention. Parker is awesome and I'd hate to see her downgraded to 'the love interest'.
I have this conversation a lot about female character development in canon - why must it always involve a monogamous relationship and/or a pregnancy? We love the females in our shows because they are more than stereotypes, more than just an accessory to a man, more than a uterus. Maybe it's because so many TV writers are still men, and don't know what else to do with a female character.
