Sleep paralysis and other assorted thinkies

Have any of you ever had sleep paralysis? Where you're semi-conscious, but you're not fully awake, either? You can't move, no matter how much you try to will your body to do so. It's scary as shit. My aunt and I have both experienced it. I usually get it when I'm overly tired and fall asleep on my back. Last night, I accidentally fell asleep on ( Read more... )

I've experienced it once and, luckily, had read accounts of it and knew someone who'd experienced it, so I knew what it was. Didn't mean it wasn't terrifying though.

Hope you never experience it again!

It's weird, because you try to make your body move, but it just doesn't happen.

I'm interested in SPN more to see how they will continue it myself. They had the five year plan, so now it might go in a different direction, especially with EK interested in other projects and leaving SG with more to do.

Missing Leverage :-(

Yeah, I've heard a lot of people wondering what the future of SPN will bring given that they pretty much finished telling their story.

Ergh, I hate sleep paralysis. It's happened to me a couple of times, usually after some really spooky dream and I can't open my eyes (which I hate more than the not moving other body parts) and I'm sorta awake in my head, yelling at myself to just freaking move. I've never felt the lift and spin though... like those alien abduction stories.

I was debating over another season of SPN, but the only thing that's competing with it is Ghost Adventers and that repeats later on so... well played, SPN.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Ghost Adventures. But like you say, it repeats, so I can have the best of both worlds.

This is the first time for the lift and spin (at least I think it was). It was so disorienting.

Yeah, it's really scary. And for a control freak like me, it's even worse, lol.

I've gotten that a few times, usually in conjunction with night terrors. I cannot stand the night terrors.

So yeah, I definitely feel your pain on this one.
