So.... I haven't had time to keep up with comic books this semester. I was just on Facebook, however--and this says something about my overall geekhood--I found out from Ryan Robbins that ( cut to spare anyone else who hasn't read the issue )
WHAT? WHAT? I loved Nightcrawler! That is such bullshit. He was such an interesting character. He also died in the Ultimate Universe (where they severely screwed his character up to begin with) he died in a flood. Wow, fantastically ignoble death.
I've been done with Marvel since the end of the Ultimatum (which I loved the early Ultimate universe). I stopped reading any normal verse with the revisit to the Age of Apocalypse where (because it has been decided that Magneto cannot be interesting/decent/good in any possible continuity) Magneto goes to jail, giving up leading the X-Men. Because THAT'S a good conclusion to the AoA with Magneto going to jail... I just don't think these people understand what makes a good characters/stories anymore.
Isn't it horrible? I mean, most of us who have been following the current storylines figured that he would be one of the deaths in "Second Coming," but still. It's Kurt. :-(
