I just read the spoiler. I'm going to finish the mini-series, but I don't know if I'm going to bother with Torchwood after this.

We're still getting over the loss of 2 characters last season, and now they kill off another. I know the 2 main ones that are left won't die. One because he can't die. The other, because she's pregnant and the writers have always loved her.

Ugh. So annoyed. Can't believe they did this.

Yeah, I so did not sign on for the Jack and Gwen show. I guess the only person left to kill off it poor Rhys.

When a show kills 3 characters you like in a handful of episodes, it's hard to stay interested.

I love Captain Jack, but I think my hate for Gwen is stronger. Just having the 2 of them is not enough reason for me to keep watching.

I don't really understand the logic behind the decision, at least if Torchwood is going to continue.

Me neither. Unless they're going to make the next big story arc about Jack trying to bring Ianto back. But I'm not going to hold my breath. It just seems like a bad decision if the show wants to maintain its fanbase.

I had the same reaction when my mom called me at work to tell me that Ianto was trending on twitter. I knew then, obviously, even without hearing what was being said. (Me to my friend/co-worker: Caps lock of rage! I take back every nice thing I've said the last three days!! I don't want a series 4 anymore!!!) My best friend and I watched part four tonight, and it really was brilliant. Seriously brilliant, and Ianto was the biggest damn hero of all. I'm not sure if he's going to come back to life or not, I'm unspoiled and will remain that way even after tonight, but I am glad I watched it. I posted a lot more in my journal if you're curious about my full reaction.

The rest of Children of Earth... I definitely won't watch it right now, and I may never watch it. To this day, I haven't watched the series finale of Angel, even though I know what happens. I just can't bear to put myself through it, and I think I'll be that way with Ianto.

As for Torchwood itself... If they pull a gotcha and bring Ianto back, I'll continue watching the show, but if they don't, my interest just isn't there anymore. They've chipped away at the cast until it's down to Jack and Gwen. As much as I love Jack, I'm not emotionally invested in Gwen, and I just don't want to watch the show without Ianto.

I knew it was going to happen the moment that Ianto was talking to Jack yesterday and said something about him dying of old age. Why did Ianto say "old age"? We all know that most of Torchwood doesn't die of old age. I think it was to dig the knife in a little deeper when it happened. Thanks a lot RTD. I'm not sure I'm going to even bother with tomorrow's, but I can safely say that if there is a season 4, I will not be watching.
