I can definitely see the teacher in you. I remember writing papers and always having to make sure the sources used were credible, and Wikipedia isn't considered credible, and neither are many other internet based sources either.....

And I find it interesting that things like this are more than likely inferred based on one or two snippets of info, rather than any actual fact.
