I heard that Laurence Fishburne will be replacing William Petersen, and the only thing I'm going to say is that he's gonna have to impress me to keep me watching week after week once Gil is gone, otherwise, it'll likely be like other shows I once watched, but don't anymore.....heck, the only reason I've still watched shows like SG-1 and SGA is because the acting is still good, even if some of the stories aren't. I used to watch Desperate Housewives (yes, I was a fan), but don't anymore because the stories and the acting just don't impress me. It takes more than just a name to draw my attention and keep me when it comes to episodic TV.
Oh, and I forgot to add, that I could care less that Aniston and Mayer broke up. Big whoop. Break-ups happen every day all over the world, and only the famous ones get the attention. Do I sound like a cynic when it comes to Hollywood?
I don't think we'll have to worry about the quality of acting with Laurence Fishburne. He's fantastic. Though I love William Peterson, I have to respect the actor's wish to move on.
You know I was being facetious about Aniston and Mayer, right?
I know he's a talented actor, but not all talented actors can keep my attention or interest in a show or movie, even ones I do enjoy.
I know, but it's still a nice point to make, especially since they are among the celebs who bring on the most boring of celeb news. I'm much more interested in news relating to a celeb's career, not necessarily their personal lives.....at least not those who Hollywood and the media seem to focus on. I counted the number of shows I'm going to be likely to watch this coming fall, and over the week, I believe the number of shows totals about 12-14, so that's an average of 2 shows a night. And some I may not even watch after a while if I lose interest. And none of those shows are new ones debuting this fall either!
