Thanks so much, mystery author! This is awesome! Everyone is so perfectly in character, which I love and isn't at all easy to do. I adore the dynamic between Sherlock and John; it's exactly how I would imagine them to be in a situation like this one. They always had each others' backs, which I found really lovely. I also love how you wrote John and Harry's relationship, especially the subtle similarities between them that Sherlock notices. The interactions between Sherlock and Harry are a delight, as is how Lestrade and his police burst into the scene to save the day just a tad too late, as usual. :P

I really enjoyed this. Your characterisation and dialogue are spot on for all the characters, minor and major. I especially like your understated Mrs Hudson, with her gentle manipulation of Sherlock. It as so clever of her to drop the hint about him popping down to Speedy's and so sweet that Sherlock bought pretty much one of every pastry when he finally took her hint. It was a really lovely way to show how much he cares, and to show that John is aware of it, too
