Not sure if the article was implying that Kaner was a part of the Manifest Density movement or if it was just a reference to him being American.

This is amazing. Now I really want a t-shirt that has a classic Oregon Trail wagon (see pic), perhaps with a little pixel representation of Kaner, and text that reads:
