Seconded! I read so much fic that sometimes it all starts to run together, but I've never read a fic like this.

OP here. I'm so excited someone was brave enough to fill this in such a respectful and educated manner.

I'm perfectly okay with creative license for the direction of this prompt so long as the core remains intact (Sherlock gets HIV during his drug years and John being an awesome doctor and friend about it). You certainly managed that and more. I loved it and all the deep feelings envoked from your wonderful writing.

Seconding anon from above loves this as well. I am so pleased to see an HIV+ prompt finally get a fill! His history of IV drug use and his abrasiveness and keeping himself apart from everyone else fits in neatly with your world. Thank you for writing.

Gorgeous fic, thanks so much for writing it.

"Here was a man willing to risk his own life to save Sherlock's."

And Sherlock was willing to die to save John's but he doesn't see his own heroism at all. I'll bet John does though.

Sequel please, where John points that out?
