Hell is other people

Came home this morning to find the only access to my rear courtyard blocked by a Mercedes-Benz convertible, which I think is owned by someone in the apartments at the end of the street. With no chance of finding out who it actually belongs to and getting it moved at such an early hour, I had to park The Volvo in the next street (a quiet residential ( Read more... )

It seems to be a rampant problem that has been building over the past few years. Everyone is thoughtless, self-entitled, and have their heads firmly lodged in their own rectal cavities. I'd write up a note or something of the sort, and put it under his windshield wiper. Perhaps it was just an honest mistake, and that will be the end of it.

If not, you could always have him towed. :3 I had one ass in a big truck parking in my spot for an entire weekend, and I found the note I left torn up and tossed on the ground when he finally moved the damned thing. Sure must be hard being forced to park in the visitor stalls 20 feet away from the owned stalls. :p

I left a note which read, 'You have blocked my access. Thanks very much.' ;)

There's nothing like that, but it is quite obvious that the alleyway is used constantly for vehicular access. Perhaps I should get a sign made up?

I should be thankful though, as when the apartment block was still a rather unpleasant pub, access to the alleyway was blocked by idiots almost every day.

When you need the clamping and towing company they are never around, when you don't need them they are fucking clamping and towing the cars that belong on the property. Christ I know what I would do.

If the said car is parked on the public highway shouldn't there be someone you can call at the council, police or highway agency? Said arsehole is blocking access not only for residents and for emergency access.

Next time, leave the note on an A5 piece of paper or even a sticky note, cover the back with pritt stick or pva glue and slap it on the drivers side of the windscreen, right where you look through. Won't do any damage but it will seriously piss him/her off trying to clean it off for a while. Will teach them a lesson.

That could be construed as criminal damage,as it would make the car less useful (i.e. undrivable) until the remains of the glue were removed.
