Um, wow. I must admit the Telford/ Young pairing never even occurred to me, outside perhaps an abusive relationship. But you gave an intriguing reason for why Telford is being such a jerk. Sure, his mission was snatched from him, but why is he so mean to Young? The scorned lover/ lost access is a great reason for Telford to go mess with Emily. As a consequence, he's probably trying to get it on with Rush - in Young's body - as well. Double whammy. Thanks for sharing this new spin on this complicated "lovers' square"!!

While in canon I can't see Young ever deferring to Telford - for anything - I love the idea of him playing with fire in an AU. I'm all for that.
