I love the idea of Penny and Sheldon getting closer than ever. I'm not talking Brother/Sister close and I'd rather not see Penny using Sheldon to cry about missing Leonard. We have seen Sheldon and Penny close before. Time to see them being close like lovers :) I also like the idea of exploring different friendship pairing with Leonard out to sea. The problem is once Leoanrd comes back we will probably see the same tired old pairings :(

I am not even interested in reading any of the these interviews anymore because I know I'm never going to be content with what I'm reading and secondly all I'll be reading is BS, BS, and more BS. Penny should stop mopping over Leonard and actually put herself at work, and by that I mean either looking for a better job that she'd actually enjoy going to, fixing her car, learning to do her school/homework on her own, studying, volunteer for a club, practice on her writing, spend some time with family or friends, or even look for some more theater auditions, ANYTHING but staying at home with the girls drinking, clubbing, or talking about sex. The only reason she'd be missing from him is not being in between her legs in bed for four whole months not because she missed having her conversations with him, I don't even think her 'doggy chew toy' would've satisfied her appetite. She's not used to being alone for very long either.

I get so sick of tptb throwing out the "brother and sister" card with Shenny. It's clear that they have no interest or intention of every having Shenny become even slightly romantic. And we're gonna get more obnoxious Amy trying to get Sheldon to be more like a "normal boyfriend" and yawn.

It is beyond fustrating! Give us a Shenny kiss at least and not a Brother/Sister type kiss. 99.9% of TPTB probably would have given us Shenny together by now, at least for a little while just to cause problems. Joey and Rachel were not out of base but Sheldon and Penny are and Ross and Rachel were huge. It's like Leonard and Penny are the King and Queen and we cannot have peasant Sheldon mixing with the Queen.

The reporter asked if Sheldon would crash girls night with Leonard gone. Molaro then answered with the "I don't know how interested"...etc. I don't know how he went from a question about Sheldon attending girls night to Penny being there for him, it seems a bit of a non sequitur.
He also said we will be suprised how Leonard is handling the distance from Penny, hum.

I can't see sheldon intruding on girls night unless its an emergency or he's real desperate for company. It is weird on how he just randomly mentions penny towards that question and not Amy instead. Well I HOPE that Leonard is handling being away for four months better than Penny since it'll prove that he can totally live without her and may seem even happier by going on as many trips they offer to him and traveling around the world as a career. For all we know maybe he even met someone? *narrows eyes*

The shamys are going crazy over this interview. They feel like their ship has been overlooked and that he has gone all shenny but I don't think they have a thing to worry about. I don't trust Morelo. This whole thing is about Leonards absence and trying to remind people of his importance to the show. They even gave Leonard, the same research as what Sheldon did in the Arctic, just with different experimental tools. His trip to the North sea is about the same kind of data! It sucks!!

yep. I see exactly where Morelo and the other writers is going to go with this 'Leonard was happy on the ship' crap. It's going to be used to make Penny nervous about losing Leonard because he's gonna question his happiness back home with her, and she'll then want more of a commitment. This entire show has become about getting two ships (Shamy and Lenny) to their final destination by end of series run, and I don't see that changing if you read in between the lines of this interview

OMG yes!! the mention of the close relationship coupled with that gorgeous little off-character moment, where Jim and Kaley were sharing a joke onset has taken a chip out of the shamys. Jim and Kaley haven't even been seen together at all, all the promotion has featured Jim and Mayim. Something that I believe has been deliberate and then Morelo just honestly and probably quite innocently mentions what he knows to be true in real life. I don't think he knew how much shamys have been trying to make out Jim and Kaley are no long close now he has Mayim. That just blew up in their faces

Are you talking about the scene from the Bon Voyage party? That really bothered the Shamys? Sheesh..lol

Anyway, I agree the show will be on the same old path by end of season 7. No need to shake it up with only a few season's left and high ratings. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz

So, TBBT page on Facebook posted a preview of the season premiere with a picture of Penny and Sheldon at the market (from the season finale). FB fan comments (180 when I last checked) only talk about Shenny, their chemistry, getting together, etc. Some were neutral e.g., Bazinga and all that. None of the fans on FB mentioned wanting Lenny or Shamy, and what is really interesting was there was no anti-Shenny type comments either. Maybe that changed since I looked, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

The season premiere...Penny and Sheldon bond, Raj talking to women, and Regina King is supposedly coming back as the HR director.

Thanks shellsyke! very interesting news regarding the comments! I love the idea of Shenny bonding. I hate the idea of the HR director coming back. How much worse will they make Sheldon look this time :(

I'm disappointed that TPTB is still not open to getting Penny & Sheldon together romantically when it's the most natural & rational thing that can happen between these two. But I like how Molaro added "probably" to his statement. It adds uncertainty and it only means they are not completely shutting off the possibility of Shenny happening. I don't care how long it will take. All I know is I'm still as hopeful as ever that they will come through. TPTB must be totally blind to not root for Shenny. I'm now wondering if there are a few writers on their team that are actually pro-Shenny (it's just impossible there aren't any). And they've got to stop saying that Sheldon & Penny are like siblings or Penny is Sheldon's mother figure. -_-

Anyways, yay for more Shenny scenes! As long as I get to see them spend time and have more special moments together, I'm not complaining.
