Still awesome! That's the first Castle fic I read, and I loved it to bits. I absolutely love the idea of Castle writing a book to work out his feelings.
And I'm glad that Kate finally came to her senses.
And that last line cracked me up. ;)

I haven't read much Castle fanfic either - maybe ten, twelve stories in total, though some of them were quite good.

And I imagine Castle worked out a lot of his feelings while writing the book (he probably had to rewrite some parts at least once). But it probably gave him a better understanding of the situation and let him work out some of his hurt - he would come to understand why Beckett left him, even though he was still (rightfully) upset and angry with her.

I just hope the show resolves it properly when Castle finally learns the truth, instead of skirting over it and reconciling them without addressing all those issues.

Wow. Like Ara, I haven't read Castle fic, beyond a crossover or two, so I haven't really invested myself in their characters much. This, however, made me want to. I could hear them in my head. And it felt like the show. Because honestly? Castle would SO write that! :D You handled their emotions and their angst so well. I could picture all that happening. (Although I sure hope they resolve it sooner!)

I never really felt inspired to write much for Castle, even though I like the show, so I was surprised how easy it was to write them once I actually started. I do hope the show resolves thing sooner, though (and in some meaningful, intelligent way).

Loved the story.Like Ara this is the first Castle fic I read. It makes sense Rick uses a book to explore his feelings. Glad Kate decided to put up a fight to save their marriage. I hope the show does not rush through a reconcilation.I am so mad at Kate,hope she can put her demons to rest after this

I'm there with you when it comes to the reconciliation - I really hope the show does it right. So far, I really can't understand why the writers decided to go in this direction - they may surprise me yet, but I'm not holding my breath (especially after the disastrous "interrupted wedding - Al Quaeda" storyline).
