This week - The Edgars!

It's Edgars week. This means that the Mystery Writers Association is holding their annual symposium in New York City. I'm going to be on a panel with Tom Angleberger, Matthew Kirby, Maureen Johnson, and Todd Strausser, about MG/YA mystery novels. I think it should be fun, though I've never been on a panel before. I'm not sure how I should prepare

Have a fabulous time, Sheela -- and post lots of pictures. I know how you feel about missing a performance. I've only missed a few over the years. I think it's good for them, though, to see they can do it without us, that it really is about the music.

Thanks, Laurie -- funny how you understand these things. In a way, it's good for me, too. I want her to own the music, whether I'm there or not, if that makes any sense.

I think your dress will be PERFECT! My friend Robin Maccready won the Edgar award, and I believe she was in a long dress too! So happy for you, have a wonderful time : )
