We saw Hairspray on saturday night, and I got hold of the soundtrack to listen to on sunday, so I now have several songs stuck in my head

19 is fine! I do quite want to see the film, in part because the national enquirer, usually the home of bitching about female slebs with anything less that 100% unfeasably perfect bodies, keep raving about how hot the girl in it is, despite her being not a perfect size zero at all!
She's very far from size zero - she's decidedly podgy. The whole film is about what you do being important, not what you look like (whether it be your size or your colour).
I don't fancy actors under 30 (other than the Elf, who is now 30, and Heath Ledger). The average age of my actor crushes is 40+, so 19 is cradle-snatching by my standards!
Wouldn't you love to see Cyclops and Wolverine having a sing off?
More than I should ever admit to.
And I found Hairspray equal parts offensive, tacky and awesome. I left confused, but grinning. Some bits were pure genius, but my brain kept freaking out about Travolta as a woman - it'd kind of accept it for a bit, and then spazz out...
The tacky was kitsch and the offensive was usually intentionally so, to make a point about the way things were.
Travolta was doing the Dr Evil, high pitched voice (auditioning to be a Pepperpot, perhaps?), but then when he sang it was his usual singing voice again, which was a little odd.
