I was really disapppointed by the lack of Weevil in the episode, but this makes it better - just imagining that he was there to pick up a broken Veronica, seriously great!

"I'm not blind, V. Not too many people can fuck with you like that. Make you cry. Your dad's home and Duncan's out of the country, so am I right in assuming that Echolls made an ass of himself again?" I loved this line - says everything about Weevil, and how he thinks Veronica works.

Thanks! I definitely think he's tuned in to her. That's why I love them together...but this didn't seem the time to throw them into something romantic.

Great story...Weevil is her friend and is there for her when the chips are down and he knows who she loves and who can break her...I loved it!

I've got an hour till I actually get to SEE this ep, but I liked this! I like that Weevil's there for her and instantly knows what she needs...a shoulder and some coffee.

And, okay, I'll even grudgingly admit you pegged her views on Logan. Although why the Hell anyone's viewing three months making out in bathrooms as "epic" I'll never know. (And my brother agreed with me on that!)

I couldn't help but feel some kind of LoVe during this ep. She obviously was feeling something deep. Glad you felt I got it, even if you don't agree with it. :)

Although, they were together through a lot of the summer, too, through some pretty serious stuff--Aaron's trial and Logan's trial, and I think that adds a weight to their relationship that it wouldn't have had if it had just been make-out sessions in the bathroom.

Yeah, but most of that "serious stuff" was offscreen! RT and the gang at the ranch broke a cardinal rule: "Show, don't tell." Don't TELL me these kids are epic and had this fantastic angst-ridden relationship marked by a couple of grainy flashbacks.

They need to decide if they're a teen drama or a crime/noir show because I honestly think the schism is detrimental to the show.

Why am I not on the way to work right now? LOL.

You have a point...there should have been more of them onscreen if it was going to be The Epic Love.

I kinda like that it's a little bit of both--teen drama and crime/noir. It feels a lot like Buffy, that way. The teen drama isn't quite as connected to the mystery as it was in Buffy, but I still feel like they tie it together pretty well.
