Ohno was driving; Nino would kill him. He was slightly drunk and he was smoking pot. He never saw her until it was too late…
Shii was crossing the street and cried out in pain. She had been on her way home…
Ohno slammed on the brakes but he hit her anyway. He climbed out, there was so much blood. He was too stoned to crave it, he couldn’t stop the bleeding. There was no one around, he couldn’t leave her and he didn’t know where the hospital was. He reached for his pocket knife and cut his wrist. Hopefully a little of his blood would save her. How was he going to get out of this one?
Shii drank weakly; she didn’t even know what she was doing.
Ohno knew they were still alone; he went and grabbed the emergency blanket from the trunk and wrapped the shaking girl in it. He laid her in the backseat and drove carefully this time back to his hotel. He parked and called Nino.
Nino dragged Sho with him; Ohno had to be the most irresponsible vampire he knew. Well besides Jin…
Ohno tried to explain the situation but he was hysterical by now.
Sho was in shock when they found the girl; he was only half-vampire. Matsujun had turned him back when they were juniors…
Nino grabbed Ohno by the collar, “Satoshi what the hell were you thinking…” he never called their ‘leader’ anything but Riida unless he was furious with him.
Ohno spoke to them silently, “I didn’t see her until it was too late…”
“You know you shouldn’t drive when you are drunk…” he smelled pot on his friend and punched him, “You were smoking again? You idiot. Why didn’t you take her to the hospital…”
Ohno stared at the ground, “She was bleeding so much…I didn’t know where the hospital was so…I gave her some of my blood. She stopped bleeding, see? I think I saved her…”
Sho was still calm, well calmer then the other two, “Let’s get her upstairs and clean. We’ll decide what to do later.”
Nino nodded, “You take our idiot leader.” He shoved the still bloody Ohno at his friend and picked up the shivering girl.
They went up to the room Nino shared with Ohno and Nino went to give the girl a bath. He had younger sisters that he had taken care of when he was younger so it didn’t bother him.
Sho went through Ohno’s suitcase and pulled out some clean clothes. He brought Nino a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. He took the girl’s bloody clothes and Ohno’s car key. He dragged Ohno to the room he was supposed to share with Matsujun and told his friend to make sure Ohno didn’t leave. He drove far away and tossed the clothes. He checked the GPS for a store that was open all night and found a super Wal-Mart. He went and bought the girl some clothes. He hurried back to find Nino and the girl asleep.
The next day…
Shii woke trembling, she vaguely remembered the accident. She looked around, she wasn’t in a hospital. It was a hotel room, a rather expensive one. She noticed two much older boys in the room with her. They were sleeping, she noticed she was wearing clothes she had never seen before and she wasn’t hurt . That was strange; she had been hit by a car. On a chair beside the bed were bags from Wal-mart.
Nino sensed the girl had woken up and mentally nudged Sho awake; he sat up very slowly so he wouldn’t scare her. He smiled, “My name is Ninomiya Kazunari and this is my friend Sakurai Sho. How do you feel? I apologize for last night, our…”
Shii blinked, Nino? Sho? She was a fan of the show Shounen Club, she knew of these two. They were Arashi…
Nino stopped speaking as soon as he realized she knew them, he glanced at Sho before continuing, “I guess you know who we are…do you know who hit you…”
Shii shook her head.
Nino nodded, “It was Ohno; he was acting like an idiot as usual. He must have snuck out while we were watching a moving in Jun’s room.
Shii was shocked, they were all here?
Sho spoke softly, “How do you feel…”
She spoke in barely a whisper, “He hit me really hard…why am I okay…”
It took a while for Nino to realize she never spoke out loud, she had spoke to their minds. He turned to Sho, “I think we have a problem. Get the others.” He smiled nervously, “Why don’t you go change. Sho went shopping last night; your clothes were a mess. I think they should be your size.”
Shii grabbed the bags and hurried into the bathroom as Sho disappeared. She found jeans, t-shirts and everything else she could need. She picked a purple shirt and jeans. She got dressed and went back to find all of Arashi sitting on the other bed.
Ohno sat there moaning and holding his head.
Nino lectured him silent, “This is your mess. We have to fix it.”
Matsujun was glad they borrowed his dad’s jet…
Shii curled up on the bed she slept in and hugged a pillow.
Ohno stood up stiffly and bowed, “I’m sorry…I tried to stop. I shouldn’t have been driving.”
Nino made him sit, he turned to Shii again, “We have a secret that we have to tell you. It will explain why you aren’t hurt.”
Shii listened silently.
Nino continued, “You see…we’re all vampires.”
Shii’s eyes filled with terror, they had to be joking.
Sho interrupted Nino, “We’re not lying, it’s the truth. Riida here hit you yes. He also saved your life. We think…we aren’t sure yet but we think somehow when he saved you he made you a vampire.”
Aiba blinked at the news, “No way! There aren’t any female vampires.”
Matsujun glared at him until he shut up.
Sho said quietly, “She can talk without opening her mouth. Does she look like she got hit by a car…”
Matsujun was a politician’s son, “What are we going to do…”
Nino sighed, “If she is a vampire, then she needs us. It wouldn’t be safe to send her home.”
Shii was really scared now; they couldn’t let her go him? Where would she go?
Sho spoke up, “It’s hard enough being a vampire in a human family I can’t take here.”
Nino glared at Ohno, “Riida is responsible for this but he can’t even take care of himself. She’ll have to stay with me…”
Shii blinked, she was going to live with a Vampire? A Johnny? This must be some kind of dream…
Matsujun checked his watch, “If I call now I can have the jet ready to go in an hour.”
Sho nodded, “We should get away from here as soon as possible. We’ll need to eat first.”
Shii started to shake when they mentioned food.
Nino reached for her hand, “It’s going to be okay, we’ll take care of you. We’ll be your big brothers…”
Sho called room service and ordered breakfast. He also arranged to check out two days early.
Matsujun led Ohno and Aiba to his room to eat.
Nino had had his blood yesterday; he was a half vampire so he only needed to eat blood every two or three days. Matsujun, Ohno and he were born vampires; Aiba and Sho had become vampires years ago.
Two days later…
Shii woke up shaking, her body felt strange. She called out weakly, ”Nino-Niichan…”
Nino woke up and hurried into his old room, “Shii-chan…are you okay…”
She opened her mouth to speak and watched Nino freeze in shock. She could feel his concern.
Nino blinked, “Oh my god Shii…you have fangs.”
Shii started to sob but no tears fell.
Nino hugged her, “Niichan will take care of you…” suspicions were one thing but the reality of this was staggering…what were they going to do?
