Community 2.1 - Thoughts

Community 2.1
Apparently I had all ready watched most of this episode online with the 6 clips they offered, but it did nothing to hinder this from being a fun watch!
The writers definitely did not lie about addressing all the major issues right away and frankly, I was more than okay with how everything wrapped up. Jeff was being a pretty big asshat - so I enjoyed his getting nailed by both Abed and Starburns at different points.
I actually liked Britta in this episode more than I have ever liked her - I don't know why, but she just really appealed to me here. And best of all, I think her and Jeff have finally been put to bed as far as a couple goes. Most. Awkward. Kiss. Ever. The tongues. THE TONGUES...I kinda of want an uncomfortable .gif of it.
AS WELL AS THE ANNIE PUNCH.
For real, if anyone ever makes a .gif of the Annie-Punch-Jeff bit, I'll plate it in gold.
I actually felt a bit bad for Annie - she's young and impressionable and crushing and I get that - but it too, was wrapped up really nice (the Twilight dig - 'all men are monsters and crave young flesh' - lol forever). No better way to get over a guy then to see him get piss thrown in his face (literally). Not to mention, again, his general asshattery.
...and yet I still love Jeff? *shrugs*
I'm also really digging Troy/Pierce's interactions - as well as the dig on 'Sh*t My Dad Says', because, for real, Shatner?! That and my sister said she thought it looked funny and nothing gives me greater joy in life then Jena being wrong - what? No, psh, we don't have sibling rivalry...
BETTY WHITE ROCKS. HARD.
That has all ready been covered in a previous post.
Don't question it. She owns. Period.
So, in conclusion? Nice clean slate to the new season - romantic entanglements wrapped up - THANK GOODNESS, NOW WE CAN FOCUS ON THE FUNNY!
...not every show needs a Jam, right?
...I do love ships though...
How about, I ship Me/Joel McHale.
And Me/David Tennant.
AND ME/ZEFRON.
...I'm an even bigger slut than Jeff...
...I might do this each week - I'm pretty stumped writing wise, so this'll give me something to do in my recently-paid-for-another-year LJ. Still, think I'll write it a bit neater next go 'round - do a it like I used to do reviews - the good, the bad, the overall...but too tired to really get into that tonight, so, leaving it where it is.
