'Community' thoughts
Okay, so, I seriously watched all of Community Season 1 in the span of 3 to 4 days.
Yes, I know, I have no life, still...
So, I am seriously in love this show.
It's hilarious and, again, Joel McHale = hot. *points to icon*
All the characters are fun to watch and loveable in their own way.
Shirley is sweet but can be a bad ass.
Pierce is awful but I can always somehow find him sympathetic.
Abed's film references make my heart happy (though they do sometimes make me feel a little bit like I'm at work)
Troy's probably got the most interesting character developments going on and, in tie with that, Abed/Troy is the greatest thing I have ever had the joy to encounter in a long time.
This of course, brings me to the final three - Jeff, Britta, and Annie.
Oh the shipwars. The hot, flaming shipwars that I heard so much about, but had no thought/say in because I was not watching this show.
So? What do I think?
I think I'm not really feeling any of it.
Jeff/Britta just don't do it for me on the chemistry level and while I see the chemistry between Jeff/Annie, Annie has been established as so young and so neurotic and so sort of bambi-esque, that it's hard for me to get on that boat either. And, again, back on Britta, while she has amazing hair and some moments, her character overall kind of annoys me.
Then there's Jeff - now Joel McHale is hot, crazy much so, but all these girls fawning all over him? He's kissed every woman on the show but Shirely...and it's probably only a matter of time at this point. But then...he is hot...okay, so, the fawning makes sense, but still, I can try to be outside myself and my need for hot men to recognize that that it is all a bit much...
Regardless, while I have no ship on the show (past maybe Abed/Troy...and hey, why not Britta/Annie? - that'd be a kick...), I find myself hopelessly in love with the show anyway.
So, in that way alone, the show has done something unprecedented. Normally I need a ship to be really committed, but for once I can say that I love something whole heartedly without needing any real romance. Yay! I'm growing...or something...I guess...
In conclusion, Joel McHale is hot.
...since he is kissing almost every woman on the show, I gotta find me a way to be on...maybe I can have a walk on part or something...*rubs chin thoughtfully as I contemplate my evil master plans*
