:)

The chore calendar is VERY simple. basically we just put up a sheet of paper with the days of the week on it and we each picked 3 days to do the dishes and 2 days to do laundry and put that down. We also put down these things: Wednesday afternoons we both do house cleaning, Saturdays Ali does yard work, Saturdays we grocery shop for the week, Sundays we do food-prep for the week work, Tuesday and Wednesday nights I cook dinner, Sat and Sun nights Ali cooks dinner. Oh and we have down that the diaper pickup is Thurs. and trash needs to go to the curb Wed night. So many chores!

That's it. It's definitely helps, though I feel like it's only by a hair that I'm able to get my part done and Ali misses stuff often,m but hey, it's a work in progress. It's nice because we both know what needs to be done and what's expected of us, it saves us the mental calculations of what things need done when. It's a small thing, but I appreciate every little bit!

Keats is so cute!

My friend Mike always says, "This is my favorite X right now!" I like to employ that phrase now too. I also like adding "so far" to the end. Lucky for me, my life is definitely improving as I get older (and yours seems to be too!!).

As for the quote, I never pity the child-plagued - they did it to themselves. I'm mostly just smug that my furry child will go through being a toddler *and* a teenager in just 3 years instead of 20. ;)

However, it's always really nice when children of the furry or human variety are good and cute.

hehe YES, "so far" might need to be the given additive..

Heheh, exactly, we all get where we are by the road we walk, I think. It's just I always thought those with babies chose bad roads! It's weird, how now I still maybe thing they did, and yet I think my own road was a good one.. that is, children are HARD! but I'm enjoying mine. :) And thank gawd he's not furry!!

I agree, good and cute are best.

Hey, so this coming week would you be free for dinner at, like, 5pm? Before you start your new work hours?

Good quote, but why don't we change it to: "People with children and people without are both happy for each other." :)

Because I am so happy for you! And so happy it's not me! :) :) :)

I agree about the quote! When I first saw it, my thoughts were, "Probably true to some degree, but maybe one day the two groups will just learn to be happy for each other." :)

I'm so happy to see that YOU'RE so happy, Shayna!

Going to join the chorus and say I've never pitied people with children. Sometimes I offer to babysit :). I hope no one pitied me for not having a child! Law school and children are a difficult combination!

I have never been a babysitter! I've always really not liked kids, with just a few exceptions. Oh lordy, law school and babies sounds like helllllll! don't do it!
