Not to freak you out more, but I take it you saw this on the Provera site?
"You should never take Provera during the first 4 months of pregnancy. During this formative period, even a few days of treatment with Provera might put your unborn baby at increased risk for birth defects. If you take Provera and later discover that you were pregnant when you took it, discuss this with your doctor right away."

Did she mention that maybe you should *stop* TTC while taking the Provera? Sounds to me like if you unknowingly got pregnant while taking it that it wouldn't be a good thing.

Hm, upon further investigation all sites say definitely use protection while on provera IN CASE of pregnancy, so I'm glad you told me this and holy cow I can't believe my doc didn't mention it. Shiiiiiiznat.

At this point I can't get pregnant. I haven't ovulated in the year I've been off BC so there's no chance. So, really, I guess I'm NOT truly TTC because there's nothing yet to try! But, just to be super safe I don't think I'll be gettin' it on during the 5 days I'm on these pills..

Thanks for sharing about this. I hope you get good, solid information soon.

In the meantime, definitely do whatever needs doing to provide yourself comfort and support.
