I'm completely and utterly obsessed with Boston Legal. It's full of fast talk and hearty sentiment. There's always lots to say, and feel, on the show. I find real life almost boring in comparison

I've had days like that. It helps to consume a LOT of caffeine, but it's better to be very well rested and nourished to be quick on your feet.
Some of my friends remember a slightly different version of me, from when I was much quicker with words and such. That part of me went into hibernation when I started working startup dotcom hours (Hi, Triand!), and now that I have kids I just don't even try anymore!
I am looking forward to going back to my ideal state at some point but in the meantime I have heaping helpings of stress and sleep loss, which have mainly served to slow me down and drive away my fair-weather friends.
YES, I sometimes wonder about the having-kids impact on high-impact conversation/wit. They can't reparte like a witty adult, so maybe one becomse out of practice. You and C both seem witty and quick still to me, though, so maybe you have each other to keep up with!
Sleep deprivation and stress are DEFINITE wit-killers. Argh to them both!
Come over with Riesling sometime and I'll tell you ALL about it... :)
I think the wit loss is more due to sleep deprivation than being around babies all day, but I can only speak for myself -- Chrysta may have a different story.
Seriously, we need another macro meal + wine soon.
Are you kidding me? That was lol funny! Probably not as much to you, but it made my evening. Maybe I'm easily amused, but I'd take you over Boston Legal anytime, and I love that show.
financial planning as a career or hobby? i can't imagine that would make a fulfilling career. lucrative though. there's a book out by Tim Ferriss called The Four Hour Workweek. it's what you'd expect, but well worth a read.
i'm not even 30 and already seeking a 3rd, adult career (3 of 9 lives?). what does that say about me?! flaky and indecisive or dynamic and multifarious?
As a career! I think I'd love it. You get to be creative and work to help people, AND it could be fast-paced and sorta important work, which I'd like. Though today I'm loving my current job, so maybe no switch for awhile...
Hmm, I don' t know what it says, but I say you gotta follow your heart whatever it says about you.
i think it would be lots of fun working with individuals, but i don't think i'd ever be able to hack it in corporate finance.
i think today my heart is saying "let's buy more montessori school!" and that pretty much any semi-well paying job with a stable, non-evil company would make me happy.
LOVE me some Boston Legal. Love it. Can't wait for the new season to start back up. I adore James Spader and think his wit on the show makes him sexy as hell, and it's the best role William Shatner has ever had.
