I'm completely and utterly obsessed with Boston Legal. It's full of fast talk and hearty sentiment. There's always lots to say, and feel, on the show. I find real life almost boring in comparison.

Today at work I decided to be expressive, energetic, fast-talking. I planned to reply to everything with a witty, poignant jab. I was going to make real-life just as high-impact as TV.

It isn't easy, though. First off I tried to banter with Laura about the crossword puzzle but I was having trouble with the word "crossword" and it kept coming out "glossered" which really just doesn't make sense. I slunk away from Laura's desk to grab some coffee and await my next chance to quip.

Marty walked in wearing sunglasses and left them on, having just come from an eye-exam and being unable to see. I wanted to shout to him, "dude, your future's just not that bright, you can take off the shades" but in my excitement I didn't realize I was mid-sip with my coffee and I spilled it all over myself. Marty walked away and my opportunity was lost.

Then to Angie's office, for a run-down of my day's work. She asked me to cover something and, since my brain was refusing to supply me with some witty come back, I decided to whinny like a horse. Really it was more of a raspberry, but it was still horse-like. "Is that a yes?" Ang asked me. I said "I think it was a neigh."

That's all I've got today. I'm giving up on being smart like TV and instead will be stupid in front of it again tonight. If real life were like the show, most likely the show would cease to appeal.

In other news, I read that it's normal for adults to have 3 or more careers. Looking for my next one, I'm considering Financial Planning. Doesn't that sound like fun? And UT has classes!
