I've been reading about green smoothies, but a lot of people seem to talk about using very high-end blenders. What do you use to make yours? Do you reckon a fancy blender is necessary, or will an ordinary K-Mart model do?
Heh. My blender is *so* not high-end...it's old and most likely obtained from Aldi years ago for some ridiculously low price. And it works just fine - it blends veggies, fruit and ice with ease. It does need adequate levels of liquid to blend properly - about the same volume of liquid as there are solids (so I usually end up with 2-3 glasses of smoothie). I once tried to "blend" my own pesto...that didn't go so well.
