What can I say...

It was a bloody awesome night. It started with a pretty crap support band - The Bird Blobs. With a name like that, you'd expect a band that likes to have fun; instead, they were boring and seemed to try really hard to sound heavy. I've been told he was trained as a classical pianist ... another thing he has in common with Tori Amos ... apologies if you knew this already ... :p I just love that little fact.

No, I didn't know that, but it doesn't surprise me - I find the piano on his albums parts beautifully haunted. The music and the lyrics are quite often harsh and jagged and bitter, but there's a certain tenderness that comes through the piano, that's hard to resist.

I never thought of Trent and Tori before...
