Sam has been working on the flying car. Modifying it.

For a car that doesn't run off petrol, this involves a surprising amount of both some sort of oil and, oddly, ash, which is why Sam is fairly filthy at the moment.

Which mostly involves peering at him from her Sneakily Sneakish Hiding Place of 'sorta leaning around a wall'.

It is not very Sneakily Sneakish.

"Hi." She gets a wave, as Sam tries to wipe some of the dirt off his face.

Snow waves back!

And beams slightly.

And edges out to approach him, so she can rub ash from his nose with her thumb.

Her fingers are slightly cold.

Sam wrinkles his nose, slightly.
"Thanks."

There's a guy with a tool belt that wanders over to investigate.

"How's it coming? Need a hand?"

"Sure. How are you with magically fueled flying automobiles?"

Xander paused, "...You know, left the manual on that at the last end of the world place, sorry. I know regular cars?"

"I don't really understand it either - It's mostly an intuitive thing."
