So. Another slow day at the Planet means that Chloe has been once again left without much to do. The boys are still in California aiding with rescue relief, leaving Watchtower without any of her flock to look over

Seeing as she's at the Cooper residence, it should not be totally astonishing that she encounters Lucy Cooper.
For Lucy's part-- Chloe's visit is more or less expected. Clark has that smell when he thinks about her - the one Renee had for Lionel, more than the ones Alice had for her endless parade of temporary companions.
(If Chloe knew very much about Lucy, she'd be heartened to learn that this brings her a firm exemption from ever getting eaten. She's Clark's. That counts as family.)
So. Lucy, carrying a half-eaten apple in one hand, appears at the door when she notices the scent of this-is-Clark's-girl outside.
"Hello," she says, carefully. "You're Chloe."
It is not a question. Lucy knows. The other self's nose does not lie.
Lucy had forgotten she tried to eat Clark when she first met him. Now she scratches her head and looks shifty, aware that that was Not The Thing To Do.
Chloe can't help but respond to the question, even though she is very well aware that it is totally previous subject avoidance. What did Lucy mean by 'I was hungry'? As much as she wants to know, this topic is totally just as relevant.
"Yes," says Lucy, trying to restrain the sarcasmface. Really, though - she saw them, didn't she? Always standing just a few inches apart at social functions, having pleasant dinners together - Lucy forgets for a moment that Chloe, not being a member of the family, wouldn't have seen them hold hands as they listened to Anne play the piano, nor (not being Lucy, either) smelled the unmistakeable entanglement of love that blanketed them both wherever they went.
And to make her point - there's a brief, liquid shift, and for a moment the black eyes that stare into Chloe's are a shining, bottomless void, set in a scaly black face with .
It's only a moment, and then she's human again, and she folds her arms and glares. There may be pouting.

Because to Lucy, it does.
She and Clark are friends. Therefore, of course he can stay at her house for as long as he likes.

"So how did you two meet then?"

Why'd she have to ask that one.
"...I was hungry," she mumbles, embarrassed.

Brightly, "He's very fond of you!"
As attempts to deflect awkward questions go, it's pathetically transparent.

"Like, as a friend or more?"
Reply
"Like Renee with Lionel," she says softly.
Okay, so it's probably not the metaphor Chloe wants to hear, but it works.

Just to confirm it: "They were together?"

That determined, it's back to the original topic at hand. "So...that hunger thing?"

Whoops.
Lucy blushes and looks shifty.
...It's unlikely that either of those will get Chloe to stop asking, but really, avoiding questions is not her forte.

Breath.
"And not to eat, until I was done."
Too much danger of accidentally murdering the people she was sent to save.
"Then she-- a statue."
Chloe knows what the statues do. That part doesn't require further explanation, in Lucy's estimation. She swallows and continues.
"Couldn't stop - couldn't eat - until the statues fell."
Four days, from the one to the other. She was barely alive by the end.
"And then... Clark was there." She ducks her head again. "I sort of bit him."

Or bite Clark for that matter.
"Ooookay," she says, cocking an eyebrow. "What sorta crazy person would tell their sister not to eat?"
Reply
"She wasn't crazy," says Lucy, fiercely.
