So. Another slow day at the Planet means that Chloe has been once again left without much to do. The boys are still in California aiding with rescue relief, leaving Watchtower without any of her flock to look over ( Read more... )

Seeing as she's at the Cooper residence, it should not be totally astonishing that she encounters Lucy Cooper.

For Lucy's part-- Chloe's visit is more or less expected. Clark has that smell when he thinks about her - the one Renee had for Lionel, more than the ones Alice had for her endless parade of temporary companions.

(If Chloe knew very much about Lucy, she'd be heartened to learn that this brings her a firm exemption from ever getting eaten. She's Clark's. That counts as family.)

So. Lucy, carrying a half-eaten apple in one hand, appears at the door when she notices the scent of this-is-Clark's-girl outside.

"Hello," she says, carefully. "You're Chloe."

It is not a question. Lucy knows. The other self's nose does not lie.

"So Clark's already mentioned me?"

Chloe grins brightly at that. There's a hint of hopefulness in her voice. Maybe this does mean she might get lucky about that second date after all.

She comes to a stop in front of the porch, studying Lucy curiously. It's her journalistic nature, of course. She's read and researched into the Cooper family; what good Metropolis reporter hasn't? But the girl doesn't look like much of a threat, and if anything, Chloe's definitely curious to know how she knows Clark.

Especially given the circumstances.

"Lucy Cooper," she continues a second later. "Youngest of the three sisters. Never, ever seen alone in public. You know, this could be my chance for the interview of a lifetime."

Lucy grins, a little.

It fades some at the mention of never being seen out in public.

"Renee thought it best," she offers.

And... well. The eagerness to speak with her comes through. The reason why, not so much. Lucy's vaguely aware of the existence of reporters, but she has no caution whatsoever as regards speaking with one, although considering who and what she is, she probably should.

"Come in," says the black-haired girl, waving her half an apple invitingly at the open door just behind her. "There's fruit."

That's appreciably close to a normal greeting, right?

"Any coffee?" Chloe asks as she walks up to the opened door. She grins a bit, peering inside to see just what could be waiting for her inside.

No Clark; bummer.

But still, Lucy could be just as interesting. She hopes.
