It took a while, but the government set up Eden's bank account. She's not looking forward to doing the same thing with Anna, so she hasn't suggested it yet

"I know this great ice cream place down a few streets that's open pretty regularly," Anna offers. "Is ice cream replenishing enough for you?"

[carefulwishes]

"One's practically a twin, the other's a teenage version."

[downsidedarling]

"...huh."

Thoughtfully, "I'm betting you weren't too happpy to run into them, then."

And equally that they probably weren't too happy to run into her, but Anna is more concerned with Eden's happiness than that of a few strange serial-killer lookalikes.

"Damn, am I that much of an open book?"

[downsidedarling]

"Yeah," says Anna facetiously, "I can read you like a scoreline."

And then stops, because only Ensorra would've gotten that joke. Sor', who isn't here, and won't ever be.

[carefulwishes]

Eden's face says huh?

[downsidedarling]

"It's a - well, okay, not a music thing exactly, but close enough. Somebody I used to know said it a lot."

[carefulwishes]

Eden has to think for a moment to remember the name. Then she quietly says, "That wouldn't be Sor', would it?"

[downsidedarling]

"...yeah." Anna bites her lip. "Yeah, Ensorra."

[carefulwishes]

Eden hesitates a moment, then asks, "What was she like?"

[downsidedarling]

Soft smile.

"Short. Blue eyes. Black hair. She sang - she was like the Downside version of the goddamn Beatles. Everyone liked her."

[carefulwishes]

"Did people faint at her concerts?" Eden half-jokes, that being one of the few things she knows about the Beatles. Other than almost all of them are dead.

[downsidedarling]

Coincidentally, Sor' too is dead!

"People did everything at her concerts, probably including dismember each other and screw." Anna chuckles.

[carefulwishes]

Eden smiles back. "What's her genre?"

[downsidedarling]

"She's gone through a few. Her liveling influences were things like Nightwish, if you know 'em. You could probably get away with calling her rock."

[carefulwishes]

"Can't say I do," Eden says, with a shake of her head, making a note for a possible Christmas gift for Anna.
