Rachel is actually inside the farmhouse for a prolonged period of time.

Iknorite?

Not in the kitchen, though, like most others stick to if they don't actually live at the farm. Rachel is going through the bathrooms, looking for medical supplies. Specifically, medical tape. A few fingers on her right hand look oddly misshapen at the moment.

Intuition taps softly at the open door of the upstairs bathroom.

She's got a roll of medical tape in her other hand.

Hey, that. Rachel doesn't smile but she looks to be in a slightly better mood when she spies it.

"Hey, thanks," is said softly and with an outstretched hand before she even looks at the girl and... my, doesn't she look kind of familiar? Rachel thinks so.

"You're welcome," says Inty, handing it over.

Yes, she is a little familiar, isn't she? It's the rainbows. They're distinctive.

They really are.

Rachel doesn't always remember her dreams. Force of habit, it's easier to forget. But the rainbows are awfully familiar.

She twists the medical tape in her left hand. Her fingers need to be splinted but she won't do that where someone else will see, much less a stranger. Besides, Inty is interesting her, just for being the sort of familiar she can't quite remember.

"Have we met?"

A small face peeks around the doorframe to one of the bathrooms.

"Whatcha doing?" Bridgette asks, bringing a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich to her mouth after she asks the question. (Crumbs fall. Lots of crumbs.)

Glancing back from the cabinet she was digging around in, Rachel looks surprised to find a kid there. Not that she hasn't seen any in all her months in Shatter - just that they rarely ever talk to her.

Then again, they rarely sneak up on her either.

"Just looking for something," she replies, making a conscious effort to keep her voice soft. "Do you know where they'd keep a first aid kit?"

Bridgette can be very sneaky, when she needs to be. She's been stealing her sister's things and her dad's laptop since she was six!

"We got a few," she replies with her mouth full, looking Rachel up and down with interest. "One's..." a pause for thought, "under the kitchen sink."

Her gaze finally finds the fingers. "Are they broken?"

Standing up from her crouch, Rachel shakes her head and looks at her fingers again. "Just sprained, I think. I just need them taped."

Which is good, because she hates setting bones.

There is actually a boy in one of the bathrooms, brushing his teeth. He doesn't live here, and he doesn't actually need to brush his teeth anymore, but sometimes he feels the need to try and stay human.

He is rinsing out his brush and mouth when she opens the door, and hastily finishes up. "Oh, uh, sorry."

"Oh, sorry-"

She'd have been paying more attention to the noises inside the bathrooms but she has a bit on her mind. But at least Rachel has the social grace to go a little red with embarrassment as she backs out.

"Naw, it's okay." Tucking his toothbrush into his hoodie pocket. "I was just finishing up."

Rachel nods and eyes the vanity behind him, still standing in the doorway. "Uh, do you know if there's medical tape in there?" she asks, nodding to the cabinet.

When she turns around from what Steph knows will be a fruitless search of the bathroom cabinets, there's a short gymnastic-looking blonde in the doorway offering, wordlessly, a roll of medical tape.

It's a Bat thing.

The Bats can bite her. And so can everyone else that doesn't like her and seeks her out anyway.

Rachel's eyes narrow - as she crosses her arms over her chest.

"I'll manage."

With scotch tape if she has to.

"Okay."

Steph sets it down on the nearest benchtop surface, appreciating that Rachel probably wouldn't take anything from her hands, and disappears back out as quietly as she came.

The tape sits on the bench and looks at Rachel.

Rachel glares at the tape.

As she walks out of the room, she wonders if there's an Office Max nearby.

The unused tape may now look at Rachel's back.
