Sam's on foot. Dean is too, at the moment; he's found Rachel and sent her and the stupid bird packing, and now he's just got to get hold of Jo and Jack.

But ooooooh, baby, that is one sweet Porsche.

Dean was on the other side of the road. Now he's crossing it to ogle the car, after making sure it's empty.

Dude. That is a sweet car.

Idly, Dean fingers the wirecutters in his pocket, and wonders just how far away the owner is and how quick he could hotwire it.

Sam was just asking someone across the street if they've seen this guy, about this tall, short hair, green eyes, probably wearing a lot of denim and some motorcycle boots...

The guy points him randomly back toward his car - where Sam sees some guy about this tall with short hair wearing denim and motorcycle boots, fingering something in his pocket.

Well, that was easy.

"Dude, if you steal my car, I will never forgive you," Sam calls, grinning brightly and starting to jog back across the street toward his brother.

Dean stiffens, and turns slowly, staring at the approaching man-mountain.

He actually has to swallow before he speaks.

"... Sammy?"

Sam can't stop grinning and doesn't see a reason to try - and after a month in this shit heap of a world, he has no problem with grabbing Dean by the shoulder for a man-hug.

"Jesus, Dean, you know how hard it is to find you when I don't even know what country you're in?!"

Jo can not be found in that many places.

She's just finished beating the crap out a stupid head.

More than necessary too because her hunt this morning was canceled.

She'll be over there, wiping her hands on her jeans, emerging from said alley.

Sam is waiting outside some building or another while Dean checks inside because 'I know this city better than you do, Sammy, don't argue and don't start up with the face either.'

He'd been too busy grinning to make whatever face Dean was talking about anyway. And now Sam leans against the wall outside the door, waiting.

Jo emerging from the alley while he's alone, now that makes him make a face.

"Jo."

Her shoulders tensed and her gaze narrowed when she spotted him.

Why the hell was he here instead of his little Mecca of Winchester women?

"Yeah?"

She's scowling.

And maybe the fact she didn't say fucktard at the end doesn't matter with the tone she's got already.

See, this just proves that Dean was wrong and Jo hates him and rightly so. And this is why he never called - how do you answer to an angry hunter's yeah? with a glare that says she'd rather see you impaled if she ever saw you again?

"Um... hi. Dean's just..." he gestures vaguely at the building behind him. "We were looking for you."

Babs rolls into the kitchen, eyes bleary, looking for coffee.

She'd wanted to greet the new arrivals when they came in, but something had come up. She looked like she hadn't slept in a couple of days. Which was probably the case.

Fortunately her eyes located the coffee. Unfortunately it was on top of a cabinet. Just how was she going to get to it?

She could ask the six-foot-four guy that's going through the cabinets!

Sam turns with an apple in his mouth and his hands on a box of cereal. The apple gets dropped into a hand so he can wave and smile without looking like an idiot. "Uh, hey, hi. It's cool if I take some stuff, right?"

"I don't have a problem with it if you'll grab me that coffee," she points and covers he mouth to hide a yawn.

"Oh yeah, of course," Sam assures her, glancing in the direction she's pointing. He pulls the canister down and inspects it with wide eyes. "Oh man, coffee."

If Barbara doesn't object, Sam will make it. He, too, needs caffeine!

There's plenty of food in the kitchen. A lot of it is on Hana's face.

Mel doesn't have time to worry about tiny twin food mishaps, though. She's pacing the kitchen floor trying to calm down Loo, who really doesn't like grapefruit. And hates that she just spat it across the table.

"Hey baby, s'OK baby, Shhhhhh... Hey," that last to Sam, "MmmmmmMmmmMmmmm." Back to the child.

Sam assumed that 'baby' did not refer to him, yes. He nods a greeting of his own, mug in hand. He's smiling a little at the baby, too, even if she's throwing a hissy fit.

He has yet to see her more sneaky twin.

Hana is sneaky. SNEAKY.

She throws a lump of grapefruit at Sam.

Sam catches it. Because it is not the first time someone has thrown citrus at him.

Hana gets grinned at and he glances at Mel before walking over to offer her fruit back. "Hi. Did you lose this?"

And finally in Metropolis, there is a big black truck painted in bold white and red pirate colours, with the word Coraline in English along each side.

The hood is cranked, and the owner is busy tuning, whistling as he works.

Sam has parked and rounded the corner in his search for Dean.

He has to stop and blink at the truck, grinning in bemusement. In a place so sparsely populated, he has to wonder who would want to stick out so much.

(says the guy with Porsche)

Jack likes sticking out. He's a rebel, baby!

In this case, he looks up when someone notices him, and really grins when he gets a better reading.

"Well met."

Sam nods and smiles, still admiring the car. "Yeah, hey. Nice truck."
