Hey, the only reason that I temporarily banned you was so that this whole (stupid) conversation could blow over. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I was just very tired of discussing stereotypes. I'm trying to understand where you're coming from, but I still firmly believe that stereotypes can only be broken through experience and that something as innocent as "does this outfit make me look like a lesbian" is way too harmless to even be discussed. However, in the future, I'll try to understand that in some little corner of the internet there may or may not be someone who may or may not get offended by that comment. =) Take care. Enjoy the final hours of spring break.

No feelings hurt. & have come to the (obvious) conclusion that you have no desire to discuss stereotyping so will not bother you with it again. I wasn't offended by the original comment, either; just more of a ooh! let's discuss stereotypes some more! feeling since I know our viewpoints are often different and that we're both capable of arguing our perspectives persuasively. Does that make any sense?

No, well. It was a thought (the outfit thing) that came to me when I put it on. I was like, "Hmm. I kind of look like a lesbian." I didn't really think anyone would care. And that's why I started getting upset when it turned into such a huge conversation. I guess that's a topic which everyone loves to jump into. I was just sick of it, 'cos I really, really, really, don't care. Eh.
