I, on the other hand, am a big fan of 83 and Hakkai topping. and tied-up Sanzo I liked the manipulation angle going on in this and the emphasis that yes, these two have major issues. Also this line: “Welcome to the world of rough sex, asshole.” is something I'll be trying to work into everyday conversations for at least a couple of weeks.

(I don't hate this pairing the way some seem to - obviously, or I couldn't have written it at all - I think my only aversion is that 83 = no 85, and I do love the 85. I do wonder why so many people are adamantly opposed to 83. In some ways, it makes as much sense as many other pairings and more sense than a few of them).

Thank you! I felt like Hakkai's control was slipping a little in this. I was trying for a more dominant Hakkai originally, but he wouldn't cooperate for me and I eventually just let him be what he was going to be. It's probably thanks to some early guidance from kansouame that he wasn't weeping and begging Sanzo to take him halfway through the fic (okay, slight exaggeration - I would never have Hakkai weeping. I hate that in fics. If someone is going to cry, they'd better have a damned good reason. These guys are tough!)
