Grrrr. In case you couldn't tell, I'm really annoyed right now. Not because I'm not having an awesome weekend (because I am!) but because I seriously don't understand the motivations behind some people's actions, and to be specific, the actions of one person who I don't even know that caused me to have to spend $30 on a bike lock that I didn't ( Read more... )

The lock-cutter is now calling people in general (but particularly you) retards for your choice of bike locks.

But if, objectively speaking, your bike is so shit that it would never get stolen, think again. Different city = different rules.

Maybe the guy was a bike thief on the prowl for a decent bike to nick, and had seen a better one round the corner and couldn't be bothered with yours, but wanted to teach you a lesson. I dunno.

It worked didn't it? You took his advice, didn't you? Of course, you may not have had the money. That would make the note-leaver a right ass.

The dude is definitely an ass; I just found out a few days ago that my savings account in Canada is inaccessible from the States :P
I'm still just floored about why someone would go to all that trouble to "teach a lesson" to someone they don't even know. It makes absolutely no sense to me... oh well... I'd just be inclined to think there'd be a better way to go about promoting bicycle security than vandalism, but apparently, I'd be wrong.
