Well I'm back home, long long journey. Left Vancouver at 3pm PCT and flew to San Francisco, just because this was the route that was chosen for me by expedia when I booked. Then left San Francisco at 6.58 PCT and flew to London Heathrow, arrived 10 hours and 10 minutes later at 13.10 GMT cleared immigration - claimed my bag and cleared customs. Got ( Read more... )

Glad you're home safe and sound and the family is babying you!

Think of warm places. Italy in the sun.

oooh Florence yummmm
or Ostia....though both places have nasty mosquitoes :(

just a nice day with blue sky would do - I dont mind the cold much really as long as there is blue sky and dryness, or a least snow.....but fog and rain....not so much. I actually like cooler weather more than hot - weird eh?

Guess it's gonna be hard for you to go back to work tomorrow.

Geez, but it would've been HOURS faster if they'd flown you to Toronto and home from there! Yikes! I hope you got a very good deal!

I'm glad you had such a lovely trip to our country. *g*

it would have, and had my bank not had one of their brain farts over my internet shopping being fraudulent that was my original plan - it also would have been about 200 Pounds (nealry 400 dollars) cheaper...but by the time they had unfrozen my account that time (Late September) the deal with Air Canada was no longer valid and the cheapest fare I could get for the round trip. London to Chicago, Chicago to Vancouver, Vancouver to London was 700.70 pounds (nearly 1400 dollars) and involved flying direct to Chicago, then Chicago to Vancouver via PHOENIX, then Vancovuer to London via San Francisco..... Pooh!!

As always Canada has treated me well, and I shall return :)

Yay! I know you love Vancouver and the West Coast, but maybe some day you'll visit down our way? =>}

If I were you, I'd be seriously thinking of changing banks! Grrr!

Love to - on both counts..though as for changing banks....at the moment mine is one of the only ones that hasn't had to beg for money from the government to bail it out...so I guess I might stay put since at least it is solvent...grits teeth.
