Well I'm back home, long long journey. Left Vancouver at 3pm PCT and flew to San Francisco, just because this was the route that was chosen for me by expedia when I booked. Then left San Francisco at 6.58 PCT and flew to London Heathrow, arrived 10 hours and 10 minutes later at 13.10 GMT cleared immigration - claimed my bag and cleared customs. Got to the central bus area and no display telling anyone which bay to go to for which bus - it was broken and so was the elevator from the airport to the bus station!!! Welcome to England - it's broken!!
Bus fortunately turned up and was clearly visible by me since no bus station staff knew, or appeared to care. Bus left Heathrow at 14.25 GMT and arrived in CAmbridge at 17.15 GMT,, then cab home and was in my house by 17.45 GMT total travel time of 18 hours and 25 mins not counting the journey from
candygramme's house to Vancouver Airport which was about 30 - 40 mins.
Needless to say I ached and was feeling pretty cranky by the time I got home. Not to mention the fact that it is freezing here, and colder than it was in Vancouver, possibly also colder than it was in Chicago (though not as windy) and foggy and now wet too....brrrr. Take me back to Vancouver and the heat wave :)
Husband ordered takeout last night and made breakfast this morning, then we had lunch at my daughter's house with her and her boyfriend. So no cooking for me as yet...nice lazy day today and....
Back to work tomorrow.
hmmmm
as you were then
HUGS all
