At work today, I came to the conclusion that "Misfits" really only works as a show, if you understand that it's a deconstruction of the superhero genre. Otherwise, it's just some dumb friggin show where Kelly fucks a gorilla.

Sookie can read minds. Human minds usually, and shifters sort of, too. But not vampires. They're dead, their brains are switched off (???), the end. While the "Sookie Stackhouse" novels are incontrovertibly awful, some time around the latter half of Book 4 ("Dead To The World"), I gave up any of my previous attempts to stop reading.
