New Due South vid (well actually two): "Somethin' Stupid"

My next vid is actually two. Yes I've created two vids from the same song, dumb huh? Why you may ask? Well, the idea was that the lyrics of the song IMO suited the Fraser/Francesca relationship. However, when I started vidding it I noticed that I'd accidentally stuck a Vecchio clip in it. When I played it back I found I liked the way it went with ( Read more... )

Huh. The Frannie/Fraser one was cute - I think it could have used a bit more editing or the use of a greater variety of clips because it seemed to drag in places, but I really liked your approach. Your choice of clips was reflective of the dynamic between the two in the show - a little sweet, a little wacky, and a little stalkerific :-) I also liked the song choice. Did you consider using the Robbie Williams/Nicole Kidman cover version from William's 'Swing Ehen You're Winning' collection? It might have helped to distinguish the Frannie/Fraser vid from the Fraser/Vecchio one. I also think it might have worked better with the Fraser/Frannie one because it's a little bouncier, a little faster and it could have helped tighten things up as far as the pacing goes.

I actually thought it was the Fraser/Vecchio one that suffered from less editing. Partly because I got a little carried away with the dancing scenes and Fraser in the back of the car changing. Did you consider using the Robbie Williams/Nicole Kidman cover version from William's 'Swing Ehen You're Winning' collection? No because I don't think I've heard it before, or if I have heard it I don't have access to it. I actually came across the CD today, but there didn't seem to be a list of tracks on it so I didn't buy it. I have this thing where I like to know what songs are on a CD and how many songs, etc before I buy it:) I did know about the cover version, and had a feeling it was them singing it. I might have a look on the ( ... )
